Plan bag buckles around the strap width, adjustment method and connection to the bag. A buckle that looks suitable in a front view still needs its slot, section and assembly arrangement checked against the actual strap.
Bag Buckles specification checklist
- Strap or webbing width and thickness, with the buckle slot dimensions.
- Closure or adjustment arrangement and a reference for adjoining parts.
- Overall shape, section thickness and logo position where required.
- Use conditions, required checks, finish reference and quantity.
Should I measure the strap or the outside of the buckle?
Provide both when available and label them separately. The internal slot dimensions define the space for the strap; the outside dimensions describe the overall appearance. Include the strap thickness and assembly drawing for a useful fit review.
