Choose eyelets around the opening required in the finished item and the material being reinforced. Include the flange, barrel and any matching backing component so the assembly can be reviewed before installation.
Eyelets specification checklist
- Internal opening and outer flange dimensions.
- Material type, number of layers and total stack thickness.
- Barrel and backing reference plus intended fitting equipment.
- Finish, cord or strap passing through the hole, and quantity.
Should the cord be included in an eyelet enquiry?
Include its diameter and construction when the eyelet forms part of a cord opening. Show how many strands pass through and any space constraints. Review the fitted eyelet and cord together in the intended material.
