Select woven labels with the finished sewing position in mind. The visible label area, fold allowance and artwork legibility should be checked together, particularly when small lettering or several colours are part of the design.

- Finished visible size and any fold or seam allowance.
- Artwork with exact wording, logo proportions and colour references.
- Flat, folded or other layout reference and the intended sewing position.
- Fabric or garment context, care requirements and quantity by design.
Should the artwork size include the fold allowance?
Show the finished visible area separately from the total label dimensions. Mark fold lines and sewing areas on the drawing so text and logos do not unintentionally sit inside the seam. Review the actual sample at its final size.
