BUTTONS HOME (HK) INDUSTRY CO., LIMITED (“BUTTONS HOME”, “we”, “us” or “our”) manufactures custom buttons, zippers and garment accessories for apparel brands, garment factories and trading companies. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit bhbutton.com (the “Site”) or contact us about a project, how we use it, who we share it with and the choices you have.
We are a business-to-business supplier. The Site is intended for professional buyers and is not directed at children under 16.
1. Who is responsible for your data

2. What we collect
2.1 Information you give us
When you send an inquiry through the Site’s request-a-quote form, by email, phone or WhatsApp, we collect the details you choose to provide, typically:
- Name, company name and job title
- Business email address, phone number and country/region
- Project details: product type, quantity, materials, finishes, target dates, artwork or drawings, and any files you attach
Please do not send us sensitive personal data (such as health, religious or political information). We do not need it to quote a project.
2.2 Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps, referring URL) for security, capacity and troubleshooting. The Site does not run third-party analytics or advertising trackers. See our Cookie Notice for the small number of cookies actually in use.
2.3 Information from business partners
If you are introduced to us by an agent, sourcing office or existing customer, we may receive your business contact details from them so we can respond to the introduction.
3. Why we use your data and on what basis

We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
4. How inquiry data is handled
Inquiries submitted through the Site’s form are delivered to our sales team by email. The Site itself does not keep a database copy of form submissions. Your message is then handled in our business email and order-management records for as long as the project is active and for the retention period described below.
5. Who we share data with
We share personal data only where necessary to run our business:
- Our factory and production team in Dongguan, China, to develop samples and manufacture your order.
- Service providers acting on our instructions: web hosting and email providers, freight forwarders, couriers and customs brokers, payment banks.
- Professional advisers and authorities where required by law, court order or to protect our legal rights.
Service providers are permitted to use your data only to provide their service to us.
6. International transfers
We are based in Hong Kong with manufacturing in mainland China, and our customers are located worldwide. Your data will therefore be transferred to and processed in Hong Kong and mainland China, and may be processed by hosting or email providers in other countries. Where data of individuals in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or other jurisdictions with transfer rules is involved, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or the fact that the transfer is necessary to perform a contract you have requested.
7. How long we keep data
- Inquiries that do not lead to an order: up to 24 months from our last contact, so we can respond if you return to the project.
- Order, invoice and shipping records: at least 7 years, as required by tax, accounting and export regulations.
- Server logs: typically 30–90 days unless needed for a security investigation.
When data is no longer needed it is deleted or anonymised.
8. Security
The Site is served over HTTPS. Administrative access is restricted to authorised staff, and our hosting environment includes firewall and malware protection. Email and order records are held in access-controlled business systems. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please use your judgement about what you send us, and contact us if you would prefer a different channel for confidential drawings.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Ask us to delete data, or restrict or object to its processing
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Receive your data in a portable format
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Hong Kong, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data (PCPD)
To exercise any of these rights, email info@bhbutton.com. We will respond within the period required by applicable law (normally within 30 days). We may ask you to verify your identity before acting on a request.
10. Applicable law
We handle personal data in accordance with the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486), the Personal Information Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China for processing carried out at our factory, and, where they apply to visitors from those regions, the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation and other local data-protection laws.
11. Links to other websites
The Site contains links to our social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok) and to WhatsApp, and the Contact page embeds a Google Map. These services are operated by third parties under their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to read. We are not responsible for their practices.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
